Sid Mattress Guarantee

1. Introduction - The 15-Year guarantee

We designed and built the Sid mattress to offer the perfect balance between cutting-edge materials and experienced craftsmanship. To offer you further peace of mind, we guarantee your new Sid mattress against faults and defects for 15 years.

We will repair or replace any Sid mattress subject to the scope of the guarantee below:

2. General - The legal bits

  • The guarantee is provided free of charge, and is in addition to your basic statutory rights given to you by UK consumer law.
  • The guarantee starts on the date of delivery of the mattress and lasts until the end of ten years from that date.
  • The guarantee is for the benefit of the original purchaser and is not transferable upon resale. Subsequent owners accept the Sid mattress as is, and cannot enjoy this guarantee.

3. Scope - What Sid guarantees against

The Sid guarantee guards against the below material defects, subject to your mattress being used in a normal domestic setting and treated in accordance with the Sid care guidelines.

  • Deterioration / degradation of the foam resulting in an indent / sag greater than 25mm compared to surrounding area.
  • Splits or cracks in the foam caused by physical flaws, not improper handling.
  • Any manufacturing defect to the zip rendering it non-functioning upon receipt.
  • Any manufacturing defect to the cover resulting in rips, tears or splits despite continuous proper handling.

4. Limitations - What Sid does not guarantee against

The guarantee does not apply to any material change not listed above. The list below includes examples of what is not covered by the guarantee. N.B. This list is not exhaustive, there may be other circumstances to which the guarantee does not extend.

  • A normal softening of the mattress over time that does not affect the qualities of the mattress - including sagging less than 25mm.
  • Normal wear and tear that can be reasonably expected during the period of ownership.
  • Faults occurring as a result of damage, physical abuse, negligence or accident resulting in burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage and stains.
  • Any complaint related to softness / comfort preference.
  • Zips on the mattress cover unless faulty upon receipt of mattress.

5. Invalidation - Under these circumstances, the guarantee is invalid

The guarantee is invalidated by:

  • Where the mattress has not been used for normal, domestic use.
  • Where the mattress has not been used for its intended purpose of sleeping on, or used otherwise in accordance to our care instructions.
  • Use without bed linen and/or use on an unsuitable bed base.
  • Continuous exposure to cold temperatures which causes material defect.
  • Any mattress not opened within 30 days of delivery.
  • Any attempt to materially alter / repair the mattress.
  • Where the mattress is sold by another party other than Sleeping With Sid Ltd.
  • Any mattress sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned” or other indication to suggest the mattress has been purchased and/or used by another party.
  • Any claim against the guarantee that is not made in accordance to the claim process detailed online at www.sleepwithsid.com.

6. Claims - What to do if you believe you have a claim

If you believe that your Sid mattress has developed a defect covered by this guarantee, please contact the Sid team as below:

  • Claims must be made within 30 days of discovery of defect.
  • Claims should be made in writing to hello@sleepwithsid.com or Sid Navigation Yard, Chantry Bridge, Wakefield, WF1 5PQ.
  • We will ask you to provide your order confirmation to at us as proof of purchase.
  • We will ask for photographs of the entire mattress in addition to photographs of the fault, along with a description of the fault you believe is covered by this guarantee. We will use this evidence to determine the nature of the fault and qualification under this guarantee.
  • Further action may include in-house testing (Sleeping With Sid to cover return shipping costs) or sending a technician to assess the mattress in-situ.

If we determine that the mattress has developed a fault that qualifies under this guarantee, we will:

  • Repair or replace the matt.
  • Reimburse you any shipping costs you may have incu.
  • Ship the repaired / replacement mattress to you at our .
  • Remove the faulty matt.
  • Any fault to the mattress cover that is covered by this guarantee will entitle you to a replacement cover, not a replacement matt.
  • The guarantee does not offer a right to refund - only repairs, replacements and upgrades for successful claims.

Sid Pillow Guarantee

1. Introduction - The three-year guarantee

We designed and built the Sid pillow to offer the perfect balance between cutting-edge materials and experienced craftsmanship. To offer you further peace of mind, we guarantee your new Sid pillow against faults and defects for 3 years.

We will repair or replace any Sid pillow subject to the scope of the guarantee below:

  • The guarantee starts on the date of delivery of the pillow and lasts until the end of three years from that date.
  • The guarantee is for the benefit of the original purchaser and is not transferable upon resale. Subsequent owners accept the Sid pillow as is, and cannot enjoy this guarantee.

The Sid guarantee guards against the below material defects, subject to your pillow being used in a normal domestic setting and treated in accordance with the Sid care guidelines.

  • Filling escaping from the pillow cover.
  • Splits or cracks in the foam caused by physical flaws, not improper handling.
  • Any manufacturing defect to the zip rendering it non-functioning upon receipt.
  • Any manufacturing defect to the cover fabric resulting in rips, tears or splits despite continuous proper handling.

4. Limitations - What Sid does not guarantee against

Sid Textiles Guarantee

We designed and built the Sid sheet to offer the perfect balance between cutting-edge materials and experienced craftsmanship. To offer you further peace of mind, we guarantee your new Sid sheet against faults and defects for 2 years.

We will repair or replace any Sid sheet subject to the scope of the guarantee below:

  • Any sheet not opened within 30 days of delivery.
  • Any attempt to materially alter / repair the sheet.
  • Where the sheet is sold by another party other than Sleep With Sid Ltd.

We designed and built the Sid bed and headboard to offer the perfect balance between cutting-edge materials and experienced craftsmanship. To offer you further peace of mind, we guarantee your new Sid bed against faults and defects for 5 years.

We will repair or replace any Sid bed / headboard subject to the scope of the guarantee below:

  • The guarantee is provided free of charge, and is in addition to your basic statutory rights given to you by UK consumer law.
  • The guarantee starts on the date of delivery of the bed / headboard and lasts until the end of five years from that date.
  • The guarantee is for the benefit of the original purchaser and is not transferable upon resale. Subsequent owners accept the Sid bed as is, and cannot enjoy this guarantee.

3. Scope - What Sid guarantees against

The Sid guarantee guards against the below material defects, subject to your bed / headboard being used in a normal domestic setting and treated in accordance with the Sid care guidelines.

  • Fabric damage caused by transit damage if reported within two weeks of delivery.
  • Slats breakage.
  • Any manufacturing defect to the zip rendering it non-functioning upon receipt.
  • Structural defects: splits in timber and loose joints.

4. Limitations - What Sid does not guarantee against

The guarantee does not apply to any material change not listed above. The list below includes examples of what is not covered by the guarantee. N.B. This list is not exhaustive, there may be other circumstances to which the guarantee does not extend.

  • Faults caused by the bed being subject to moisture.
  • Normal wear and tear that can be reasonably expected during the period of ownership.
  • Faults occurring as a result of damage, physical abuse, negligence or accident resulting in burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage and stains.
  • Any complaint related to softness / comfort preference.
